

President - Master Darin Gibson
Master Gibson has been instructing martial arts for more than 27 years and has introduced Tae Kwon-Do to many southern Alberta communities. His innovative leadership efforts have placed him on the forefront of modern instruction, while maintaining the traditional roots of Korean martial arts. He was promoted to 7th Degree Black Belt in 2009. A graduate of the University of Lethbridge (B.Ed.) Mr. Gibson was a finalist in the Alberta "Excellence in Teaching Awards" for his work . His teaching resume also includes extensive work in treatment centres with at-risk teens. He is a member of his local KidSport Chapter.
Vice-President - Mr. Darryl Witcher
Mr. Witcher holds a 6th Dan Black Belt and is a Certified Instructor and Instructor Trainer in the Martial Art and Science of Tae Kwon-Do. He has been training for over 23 years and instructing for 18 years. Mr. Witcher established his school in Innisfail in 1990. Through his dedication to the study and teaching of Tae Kwon-Do, his school is held in high regard throughout Alberta.
Mr. Witcher retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in September 1999 with over 24 years of dedicated service. He holds a Diploma as a Certified Sports Nutrition Advisor and is a Fitness Specialist and Personal Trainer.
In 2002, Mr. Witcher was awarded the Mayor’s Fitness Award for his excellence in fitness and the promotion of a healthy life style.
Mr. Witcher continues to grow Advantage Tae Kwon-Do School and is involved directly in supporting community activities.
Vice-President - Mr. Colin Nonomura
Mr. Nonomura, a 6th degree black belt, became involved in martial arts at the age of 16. For more that 25 years he has coordinated and participated in countless demonstrations and tournaments promoting Tae Kwon-Do. He is a head instructor at one of the largest Tae Kwon-Do Schools in Alberta, with 2 branch schools in operation in the area. Mr. Nonomura currently is in the process of developing a new self defense curriculum.
